The Syrian Crisis

Myanmar Outreach

Myanmar is the second biggest country in South East Asia, bordering five countries and with a population of over 50 million. Although it is rich in resources, around one quarter of the population still live below the poverty line.

QCUK partnered with Osman Consulting to provide nutritional support to internally-displaced people in Myanmar, in a region also affected by Cyclone Komen. 23,750 individuals (prioritising the elderly, female-headed households, and the young) received food over a period, and five communal Iftaar meals were held during Ramadan.
